On Sunday 4th March 2012 the first INGLOT store in Tripoli opened its doors for customers. Indeed this project was under planning process since October 2010. Although it was ready to open in February 2011, due to the country’s civil revolution it had to be postponed to the following year. The much awaited launch was welcomed positively by Libyan women who made it a point to visit the store on a never ending shopping spree.

Abdurazzaq Elmanfi, Director of INGLOT Libya stated “It is with great pleasure that I welcome this partnership with ROCS retail. So far this collaboration demonstrated outstanding feedback from the locals here and I hope this brand continues to flourish in the years to come.”

Colin Aquilina, Head of Finance & Business Development at the ROCS Group stated “This project has been under construction for almost 2 years now. I am proud that this development was a success for all involved. This is an incredible achievement for ROCS retail and I am certain that Mr. Elmanfi is pleased with the results so far. The sales on the opening day were staggering, dare I say better than Christmas in Malta. We are extremely honoured to have such a valued partner on the Libyan market! ”

Throughout the opening we encountered several customers who were ecstatic. One of the many clients who visited the store sarcastically stated “It’s now time for the INGLOT makeup revolution! It is a great opportunity for us to have INGLOT open its doors to the Libyan market.”

Abdurazzaq Elmanfi recalls the first time he visited an INGLOT store in Malta and later in Time Square New York. “As soon as I saw the INGLOT concept for the first time I immediately realised that such a brand would definitely prove to be very successful on the Libyan market. We were ready to open our doors before the civil revolution however we had to postpone the official opening due to reasons that we are all well aware of. My relationship with the Vella’s and the ROCS group is definitely a plus point giving the Libyan operation that edge in marketing, human resources, retail experience and professional approach. We look forward to opening the second store and possibly a studio within end 2012.”

As part of this development, staff from INGLOT Libya were sent over to Malta for training in procedures and knowledge about the INGLOT brand. Throughout the past 4 years, staff from INGLOT Milan, INGLOT Lebanon and many others visited the Maltese outlet so as to gain experience and attend the necessary training. As of today INGLOT is present in more than 280 different retail locations worldwide with presence in the 6 continents. ROCS retail is an INGLOT franchisee for Malta, Libya and Cyprus.
