DAY 1: MALTA - BEIJING
Your journey begins at Malta International Airport, where you'll meet your tour manager and board your flight for Beijing. Prepare for an unforgettable adventure as you head to one of the world’s most fascinating cultural capitals.
DAY 2: ARRIVAL AT BEIJING
Upon arrival at Beijing Capital International Airport, you will be transferred to your hotel, the 5-star New World Hotel, where you can relax and settle in. Enjoy the rest of the evening at your leisure and soak in the atmosphere of this vibrant city.
DAY 3: BEIJING
After breakfast, embark on a full-day exploration of Beijing's rich cultural heritage. Begin with a visit to the iconic Tian’anmen Square, one of the largest public squares in the world, symbolizing the heart of modern China. It holds deep historical significance and is surrounded by impressive monuments and landmarks. From there, step into the magnificent Forbidden City, the former imperial palace of the Ming and Qing dynasties. This sprawling complex of courtyards, halls, and pavilions, adorned with intricate designs, served as the home of Chinese emperors for nearly 500 years and is a testament to China’s regal history.
In the afternoon, continue to the serene Summer Palace, a stunning imperial retreat known for its enchanting lakes, pavilions, and meticulously landscaped gardens. This UNESCO World Heritage site was a favoured escape for the Qing dynasty and offers a peaceful atmosphere away from the city’s bustle. Lunch will be at a local restaurant, and in the evening, savour a traditional Peking Roast Duck meal, a culinary delight synonymous with Beijing, at a local restaurant.
DAY 4: BEIJING
Start your day with a visit to the Temple of Heaven, a stunning example of classical Ming architecture. This vast, serene complex was once a sacred space where emperors would pray for good harvests. Its symbolic design reflects the ancient Chinese belief in the harmony between heaven and earth, with its iconic circular Hall of Prayer for Good Harvests being one of China’s most photographed landmarks.
Next, head to the Mutianyu section of the Great Wall, a less crowded and well-preserved stretch of the ancient fortification. Ascend by cable car, which provides stunning panoramic views of the surrounding mountains and lush forests. This section of the Great Wall is known for its watchtowers and steep climbs, offering a perfect balance of history and scenery. After taking in the breathtaking views and walking along this incredible ancient structure, enjoy lunch at a local restaurant. After a day filled with unforgettable sights, relax and unwind back at your hotel.
DAY 5: BEIJING - XI'AN
Following breakfast, you’ll be transferred to the station for a comfortable high-speed train journey to Xi’an.
Upon arrival, explore the Ancient City Wall before enjoying lunch at a local restaurant. Later, we’ll visit the Grand Mosque, one of the oldest and most significant mosques in China. Blending traditional Chinese and Islamic architecture, this tranquil space offers a unique glimpse into Xi'an's multicultural history.
Following the mosque, we’ll wander through the bustling Muslim Quarter, a lively hub of street food and local culture. Stay at the 5* Wyndham Grand Xi'an South hotel.
DAY 6: XI'AN
Today is all about Xi’an's rich history. We begin with a visit to the awe-inspiring Terra-Cotta Warriors, a UNESCO World Heritage site. This vast army of life-sized clay soldiers, horses, and chariots was buried over 2,000 years ago to protect China's first emperor in the afterlife. Each figure is unique, showcasing an incredible level of craftsmanship and detail, making this one of the most remarkable archaeological discoveries of the 20th century.
In the afternoon, we’ll take a leisurely stroll through the serene grounds of the Big Wild Goose Pagoda. This ancient Buddhist site, originally built in the 7th century, is a significant symbol of Xi'an's cultural heritage and a peaceful spot for reflection.
DAY 7: XI'AN - GUILIN
This morning, you’ll take a flight to Guilin, a city renowned for its stunning natural landscapes. Upon arrival, begin your exploration with a visit to the remarkable Reed Flute Cave. This impressive limestone cave is adorned with striking stalactites, stalagmites, and rock formations, all illuminated in a kaleidoscope of colours, creating a surreal and magical atmosphere. It's often referred to as the "Palace of Natural Art" due to its incredible beauty.
Next, visit the iconic Elephant Trunk Hill, a famous natural landmark shaped like an elephant drinking from the Li River, and a symbol of Guilin's unique karst scenery. The day concludes with a relaxing stroll around the Twin Pagodas area, where the shimmering reflection of these striking pagodas on the water creates a picturesque setting. You'll then retire to the luxurious 5-star Shangri-La Hotel.
DAY 8: GUILIN - YANGSHUO - GUILIN
After breakfast, embark on a breathtaking Li River cruise to Yangshuo, a journey that will take you through some of the most dramatic and beautiful landscapes in China. As you glide along the tranquil waters of the Li River, you'll be surrounded by striking karst peaks and lush countryside, creating a truly picturesque scene that has inspired Chinese art and poetry for centuries.
Upon arriving in Yangshuo, explore the vibrant West Street, a lively hub filled with markets, shops, and cafes. Known for its blend of traditional and modern culture, West Street is a fascinating place to soak in the local atmosphere. A delicious lunch will be served on board during your cruise. After returning to Guilin, the evening is yours to relax and reflect on the day's stunning sights.
DAY 9: GUILIN - CHONGQING - YANGTZE RIVER CRUISE
In the morning, board a high-speed train to Chongqing, a dynamic city known as the gateway to the Yangtze River. Upon arrival, delve into the heart of the city, starting with the lively Liberation Square, a central hub brimming with local life. After breakfast, you have the opportunity to either join an optional excursion to the historic White Emperor City (extra cost) or partake in a range of engaging activities on board. DAY 12: YICHANG - SHANGAI
After breakfast, disembark in Yichang and embark on a fascinating visit to the world-renowned Three Gorges Dam Project. DAY 13: SHANGAI

This temple offers a glimpse into the spiritual side of the city, surrounded by beautiful gardens and traditional architecture.
Next, wander through the enchanting Yu Garden, a classical Chinese garden renowned for its exquisite landscaping, ornate rockeries, and traditional pavilions. Adjacent to the garden is the bustling Yu Market, where you can browse local handcrafts, snacks, and souvenirs, truly capturing the essence of Shanghai's cultural heritage.
Stroll along the Bund, Shanghai’s iconic waterfront promenade, where historic European-style buildings stand in contrast to the modern skyline of Pudong across the river. This area is perfect for soaking in the city's unique blend of old and new.

DAY 14: DEPARTURE FROM SHANGAI
