DAY 4: TOKYO'S UNIQUE BLEND OF CULTURE AND INNOVATION

Enjoy a leisurely breakfast before diving deeper into the dynamic city of Tokyo. Experience the excitement of Shibuya Crossing, one of the world’s busiest intersections, where you’ll have free time to soak in the city’s vibrant atmosphere. Next, roll up your sleeves for a fun sushi-making experience, where you’ll learn the art of preparing Japan’s most famous dish. After lunch, marvel at the engineering feat of  the Rainbow Bridge as you drive across it to visit the mesmerizing digital art exhibition at TeamLab Planets. Return to your hotel with  memories of Tokyo’s unique fusion of tradition and technology.

DAY 5: DISCOVERING MT. FUJI AND SURROUNDINGS
 

​Today after breakfast venture beyond the city to discover the natural beauty of Mt. Fuji, Japan’s most iconic peak. Begin your journey with a visit to Lake Kawaguchi, where a tranquil cruise offers breathtaking views of the surrounding mountains. Continue to Oshino Hakkai, a charming village renowned for its crystal-clear spring waters. The day concludes with a visit to the Mt. Fuji Visitor Center, where you’ll gain a deeper understanding of this majestic mountain’s cultural significance. Return to Tokyo in the evening, preparing a small bag for your upcoming overnight stays as you rest for the next leg of your journey.

DAY 6: TOKYO TO HIROSHIMA VIA BULLET TRAIN

​After breakfast, check out of your hotel and leave your large luggage to be transported directly to Osaka. The morning begins with a special
cultural experience — a traditional tea ceremony, complete with kimono wearing, offering a serene glimpse into Japan’s refined customs. Later, board the famous Shinkansen (bullet train) and travel at remarkable speeds to Hiroshima. Arrive in the evening, transfer to your 4* Hilton Hiroshima or similar, and settle in for a restful night.

DAY 7: HIROSHIMA'S HISTORY AND RESILIENCE
 

Breakfast and today spend the day delving into Hiroshima’s poignant history. Begin with a visit to the Hiroshima Peace Park and Atomic  Bomb Dome, both solemn reminders of the city’s past. The Peace Memorial Museum provides a deeper understanding of the events of 1945 and Hiroshima’s subsequent transformation. In the afternoon, take a short ferry ride to Miyajima Island, home to the iconic Itsukushima Shrine with its “floating” torii gate, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Return to Hiroshima in the evening, reflecting on the day’s profound experiences.

DAY 8: HIROSHIMA - KOBE - KYOTO

After breakfast depart Hiroshima and journey by coach through Kobe, a city famous for its sake production. Visit the Kiku-Masamune Sake Brewery Museum to learn about traditional brewing methods and enjoy tastings of Japan’s finest sake. Continue to Kyoto, where your luggage will be waiting for you. After checking into your 5* Hotel Okura Kyoto or similar, enjoy a relaxing evening in this historic city.

DAY 9: KYOTO'S CULTURAL TREASURES
 

Today is dedicated to exploring Kyoto, Japan’s cultural heart. Breakfast and start with a visit to the Samurai Ninja Museum, where you’ll  uncover the history and skills of Japan’s legendary warriors. Then, marvel at the shimmering Kinkakuji Temple, also known as the Golden  Pavilion, before strolling through the enchanting Arashiyama Bamboo Forest, an otherworldly landscape of towering green stalks. Return to your hotel with a newfound appreciation for Kyoto’s timeless charm.

DAY 10: KYOTO - OSAKA

Breakfast and your journey continues as you explore more of Kyoto before heading to Osaka. Visit the iconic Kiyomizu-dera Temple, perched on a hill with stunning views of the city. Walk along the historic streets of Sannenzaka and Ninenzaka, lined with quaint shops selling traditional crafts and snacks. Conclude your Kyoto tour with a visit to Fushimi Inari Shrine, famous for its thousands of red torii gates winding up the mountainside. Travel to Osaka in the evening and check into your 5* Hilton Osaka or similar.

DAY 11: OSAKA & NARA - A FUSION OF OLD & NEW

Breakfast and start the day with a trip to Nara, Japan’s first permanent capital. Visit Nara Park, where friendly deer roam freely, and explore  the magnificent Todaiji Temple, home to a giant bronze Buddha. Return to Osaka to discover its modern attractions, including a photo stop  at Osaka Castle and shopping in the vibrant Dotonbori district, known for its neon lights and culinary delights.

DAY 12 / 13: OSAKA - MALTA
 

As your amazing Japan journey draws to a close, it’s time to make your way to Osaka Airport for your flight back home. After a final  breakfast at the hotel, you’ll be transferred to the airport, where your ROCS Travel Group Manager will assist with check-in and ensure everything runs smoothly. Reflect on the unforgettable experiences you’ve had over the past 12 days—captivating cultural encounters, stunning sights, and memories that will last a lifetime. While you say goodbye to Japan, know that this incredible journey has left a lasting imprint on your heart. As you board your flight, you’ll carry with you the rich traditions, incredible landscapes, and the warmth of Japan’s hospitality as you head back home. Arrive back in Malta, marking the end of your journey.
