DAY 1: MALTA - PRAGUE

Meet your tour manager at the Malta International Airport for your flight to Prague. Upon arrival in the city, transfer and check-in to your hotel in Prague.

DAY 2: PRAGUE

After breakfast, our Prague exploration starts at Wenceslas Square, a bustling central hub for business, culture, and the Christmas market. Our leisurely stroll along the main shopping streets will take us to the historic Powder Gate, an original city gate on the Royal Route used by the king. Walking by chic boutiques and souvenir shops, you’ll arrive at The Old Town Square.

There, you’ll discover a wealth of captivating landmarks, including the famous Astronomical Clock, Town Hall, St. Nicholas Church, Jan Hus Monument, and the lovely Tyn Church. Don’t miss the traditional Christmas market in The Old Town Square. We continue our stroll through the streets until we reach Charles Bridge, a medieval stone bridge that spans the Vltava River and stands as one of Prague’s primary tourist attractions.

Our walk then leads us to Maltese Square, where the Knights of Malta constructed a church. Our final stop is the Church of Our Lady of Victories, home to the Shrine of the Infant Jesus of Prague. Initially given to the Knights of Malta and later returned to the Carmelites, the church also houses a museum with various vestments for the statue. Afterward, we’ll return to our hotel, where you’ll have some free time. We suggest revisiting the Christmas market in Old Town Square, beautifully decorated with lights and bustling with activity to enjoy.

DAY 3: DRESDEN

After breakfast, we head to Germany to visit Dresden, a major cultural centre with a poignant history, as much of it was destroyed during World War II. Today, the beautiful city is rich in art treasures, history, and architecture, as it has been meticulously rebuilt to its former glory.

We’ll stop by the Zwinger Palace, a true gem, housing internationally renowned museums such as the Porcelain Collection and the Old Masters Picture Gallery, among others. During our walking tour of the city, you’ll have the chance to see many other important buildings and sights.

You’ll also have free time to enjoy the Christmas markets, which brighten up the city’s square, or do some last-minute shopping in the many department stores nearby

DAY 4: HRADČANY

After breakfast, we will continue discovering Prague, the city of a Hundred Spires, by exploring Hradčany, the Castle complex, which offers stunning panoramic views of the city.

En route, we pass the Loretto Church, and upon entering the Castle (ticket not included), you can explore its major attractions. We traverse the castle’s courtyards to reach the grand St. Vitus Cathedral, a pivotal place for Czech kings and queens’ coronations, as well as the final resting place for saints, sovereigns, nobles, and archbishops. Inside, you can admire the beautifully adorned St. Wenceslas Chapel, the royal crypt, and the Crown Chamber with its exquisite stained glass and more.

We also tour the historic Royal Palace, housing the Gothic Vladislav Hall, known for its remarkable rib-vaulted ceiling and current use for state ceremonies. Our next stop is the Romanesque Basilica of St. George, the castle’s second-oldest building, where Princess Ludmilla, a martyr and St. Vaclav’s grandmother, rests. We explore the charming Golden Lane, once inhabited by goldsmiths in its miniature houses, before descending the palace steps to enjoy further city vistas.

You’ll have free time to unwind and prepare at the hotel, as the festivities in Prague promise to make it a truly special evening.

DAY 5: HAPPY CHRISTMAS / HAPPY NEW YEAR: PRAGUE FREE DAY

After breakfast, you’ll have a free day at leisure. You can join the group and use the metro and tram to visit Malá Strana, one of the oldest and most beautiful neighbourhoods in the city.

We’ll visit the intriguing John Lennon Wall, a vibrant display of graffiti dedicated to world peace. From there, we head to Little Venice, where you can opt for a short cruise (not included) on the Vltava River to take in the major sights along the water. We’ll then walk to Old Town Square to join in the festivities.

Afterwards, you’ll have free time for personal sightseeing.

DAY 6: ČESKÝ KRUMLOV

Today, we visit Český Krumlov, a UNESCO World Heritage site. The town, set in a deep valley and divided by the Vltava River, is truly enchanting. Our tour begins with a visit to the castle grounds, offering a panoramic view of this charming town. We’ll then walk down to the centre, passing through the narrow streets and exploring the historic centre.

The town is stunning, with typical Czech restaurants along the river, winding lanes, and the imposing Krumlov Castle overlooking the town. You’ll have some free time before we return to our hotel.

We’ll also visit parts of the cellars to sample this unique beer. Afterwards, we’ll head to the city centre for some free time and personal exploration before returning to our hotel. For our final afternoon, we suggest stopping at the Westfield Centre for some last-minute shopping; our coach will drop us off there, and we’ll use the metro to return to the hotel. For those not interested in shopping, the coach will take you directly to the hotel.

Enjoy your last night in Prague.

DAY 8: KARLOVY VARY - MALTA

After breakfast, we’ll explore Karlovy Vary, a spa town famous for its dozen hot springs and international film festival. Enjoy a delightful walk along the river, taking in the fresh atmosphere and beautiful architecture.
